    Donkey Kong Country 2 Coming To Nintendo Switch Online Alongside Three Other Titles Brian Shea Hot off the surprise addition of Super Mario All-Stars to the Super NES library of Nintendo Switch Online earlier this month, Nintendo has announced the full lineup of September additions to its subscription catalog. In addition to the already-released Super Mario All-Stars, the Super NES library will receive three new additions, while the NES library will see one new game. The headliner this month is undoubtedly Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (pictured above). The follow up to the iconic SNES platformer sees Diddy and Dixie Kong taking the spotlight in an adventure to save Donkey Kong from the clutches of King K. Rool. In addition, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can look forward to adding puzzle game Mario's Super Picross and action title The Peace Keepers on the SNES side, while NES enthusiasts have S.C.A.T.: Special Cybernetic Attack Team coming at them. Mario's Super Picross In order to access the ever-growing library of classic games available on Switch, which includes titles like The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario World, Super Metroid, and Super Mario Kart, you must be a subscriber to Nintendo Switch Online. The new documentary, Console Wars, is the first CBS All Access original film. Expect to see plenty of Sonic in this one if it follows many of the stories around the clash of the video game titans. Borderlands 3 is coming to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. If you own the current-gen version of the game on Xbox One, you get a free upgrade to the Xbox Series X version. If you own Borderlands 3 on PS4, you'll get a free upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version. All your content, including save files, will carry over. After big info drops for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, it stands to reason that Sony is probably ready to sharing pricing and other details for its next generation console. Oh, and games. The showcase is scheduled to hit in just a few days on September 16th at 3 PM CT. Jason Guisao After what felt like eons of time (and with the help of a major leak), Microsoft has finally unveiled the retail prices of the Xbox Series X and its slim, sleek counterpart, the Series S. While the Series X is listed at $499, the Series S has a more manageable price of $299. The specs between the two consoles aren't particularly drastic, but the Series X is undeniably pumping out better numbers including more memory storage and a higher native resolution. Additionally, both consoles have financing options - which, if you ask me, is a godsend! But, we're not here to listen to what I think about these prices; we're hear to get feedback from you!     No More Heroes 3 Delayed To 2021 Brian Shea No More Heroes 3, which was unveiled at E3 last year, has been delayed to 2021. The Switch-exclusive title was originally planned for a 2020 release, but developer Grasshopper Manufacture has announced a delay to the anticipated action title due to complications surrounding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Click here to watch embedded media While the delay is unfortunate for those who were hoping to go on another adventure with Travis Touchdown before the end of the year, the good news is that the studio claims to have gotten back to where it needs to be from a development capacity perspective.     Spiritual Successor To Hexen 2 Graven Arrives in 2021 Daniel Tack 3D Realms, 1C Entertainment, and Slipgate Ironworks are bringing the spiritual successor to Hexen 2 to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch, and PC in 2021. If you don't remember Hexen, that's okay, it's pretty ancient. Ancient and awesome. The Hexen franchise followed hot on the heels of Doom and provided the same sort of brutal, gory FPS action, but with a sorcery instead of shotgun twist. Magic and staff power ruled the day as you'd blitz through unkempt acolytes. Tapping into the ancient FPS era, Graven allows for split screen co-op for two or up to four player online action. If you don't remember Hexen, that's okay, it's pretty ancient. Ancient and awesome. The Hexen franchise followed hot on the heels of Doom and provided the same sort of brutal, gory FPS action, but with a sorcery instead of shotgun twist.     Biogamergirl Ending After 10 Year Run Daniel Tack Biogamergirl.com and its associated projects are coming to a close after an extensive run. Since 2010 the multimedia suite provided a multitude of gaming perspectives on the website and also published a print publication. But the gaming related projects don't stop there — site founder and executive director of operations Amanda Dyar has spent considerable time in the industry in various roles, ranging from PR and marketing to game developer. Amanda developed a lesser-known horror RPG with a cult following known as Life Weaver in 2012, a game that explores dimensional travel, the concept of an evil Santa Claus, and hero saviors of the world who are the titular Life Weavers. "It's time to move on from what we created at Biogamergirl and BGG Entertainment," Amanda says. "It's been an incredible project but I'm going to be exploring new and exciting endeavors." The company announced its transition on the official website here. The team is expecting to work on large projects behind the scenes for reveals in 2024.     Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Debuts In Stunning Trailer Andrew Reiner Click to watch embedded media It was a big day for Suicide Squad at DC FanDome, a day-long livestream filled with reveals of upcoming games, comics, movies, and more. The Suicide Squad fun began with a behind-the-scenes look at James Gunn's upcoming film. Later in the day we were shown the first trailer for Rocksteady Studios' Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League game, which is slated to release in 2022 and is a one- to four-player cooperative experience. Yes, you read that right: We won't be playing this game until 2022. In the trailer, Rocksteady debuted four characters: Harley Quinn, King Shark, Deadshot, and Captain Boomerang. We also hear the voice of Amanda Waller, who reminds the squad that they have to do as she says or the bombs in their heads will detonate. The Squad is located in Metropolis, which is currently being invaded by Brainiac and his alien minions, which are quickly revealed to have purple blood as the Squad makes short work of them. In this first look Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is much brighter than the Arkham games that Rocksteady made, but it's a part of the same universe. Some of the stories that started in the Arkham games will continue in this upcoming release. Rocksteady says that the game will be a blend of melee and gunplay. Each character will have a rich move set, which you can get a taste of in the trailer. One move is Deadshot being able to do a fuel dump from his jetpack to light enemies on fire. The entire game can be played single player, or as a four-player cooperative experience with friends. If you are playing single player, you can switch between any character at any given time, which will be controlled by A.I. when you aren't using them. Their target? A Brainiac-powered Superman. Developer WB Montreal tells Comic Book that Gotham Knights will go in its own direction and is "not connected to the Arkham series." Following today's presentation WB Games also shared character descriptions for Batgirl, Red Hood, Robin (who we see in a Red Robin costume), and Nightwing. Here's are the official descriptions: Batgirl, also known as Barbara Gordon, is a determined fighter and a skilled hacker. As the daughter of deceased Gotham commissioner, Jim Gordon, she had helped Batman as Oracle in the past. Now, after years of recovery and preparation, she is ready to step into her new role, wielding her melee tonfa, and harnessing her training in kickboxing, capoeira and jiu-jitsu. Nightwing is Dick Grayson, the first Robin, who was Batman’s protégé before becoming a hero in his own right. He’s a natural leader and the eldest and wisest member of the Batman Family. Nightwing’s mastery in acrobatics is complemented by his expertise use of his signature dual Escrima Sticks, making him proficient at taking out enemies. Red Hood, formerly known as Jason Todd, is an intense and volatile anti-hero, which stems from his death and forced resurrection by one of Batman’s most dangerous foes. Red Hood has trouble keeping his temper in check but will not hesitate to step into the line of fire when a friend is threatened. His training has given him peak human strength and proficiency in multiple combat techniques with all manner of weapons – both traditional and high-tech.     Frontier Details Planetary Exploration In Elite Dangerous: Odyssey Matt Miller Elite Dangerous has continued to grow since its launch in 2014, and the next big evolution of the game is on its way in early 2021, with the release of Elite Dangerous: Odyssey. While Odyssey focuses on a number of factors that aim to improve the player experience, including first-person combat and new social hub options, one of the biggest areas of focus appears to be the availability of on-foot planetary exploration. Odyssey aims to offer experiences that echo the first moments of Neil Armstrong on the moon, letting players rocket off to planets that have never been seen before, and explore their potential as the first people to visit them. In a new video, we get to see a spread of what some of those planets may look like, from icy planets covered in snow, to rocky planets filled with canyons and mountains. The team is also focusing on making an experience that feels authentic within your space suit, like hearing the sound of your own breathing while walking around on a new sphere, where a thin atmosphere means you are one breached seal away from death. In another interesting detail, we also learned that it will be possible to sample the flora of planets you visit, and take those DNA samples back to space ports to trade.     Fortnite For Android Has Been Pulled From The Google Play Store Daniel Tack Following today's earlier chaotic news of two titans blasting back and forth at each other with Epic Games' Fortnite on the Apple App Store, the popular game has also been removed from the Android Google Play Store. In a statement to The Verge, Google addresses the removal of Fortnite from the Google Play Store: The open Android ecosystem lets developers distribute apps through multiple app stores. Now, numbers are coming out from website gamstat (that tracks various data) that show that over 8 million players have engaged in the obstacle course insanity on PlayStation 4 since launch. These numbers are fueled by the fact that Fall Guys is free this month on PlayStation Plus of course, but that's still a ton of beans tripping over each other in delight. What will be interesting is to see how the numbers fall off or continue to rise as we see what ongoing content offerings will be pushed out.
