Long-time friend and fellow Infinity Ward and Respawn co-founder, Vince Zampella, corroborated the reports. "Jason has left Respawn to take care of some family issues." Both West and Zampella were relieved from Infinity Ward in March 2010. It was later revealed the two were fired for "insubordination." West and Zampella filed a lawsuit against Infinity Ward shortly after the firings. Parent publisher, Activision, served the duo a lawsuit for "secretly planning to start their new studio with the help of Electronic Arts." Both parties settled their suit in May 2012 for the $42 million. https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
