Respawn Has Banned 770,000 Cheaters On Apex Legends Elise Favis Late last week, Respawn posted a development update on Reddit that said the studio has cracked down on cheaters in Apex Legends. According to the post, Respawn has banned over 770,000 accounts on PC since the game's launch in February. The developer has also blocked more than 300,000 account creations related to cheating or spamming. 4,000 of those accounts were associated with cheat selling. Respawn says that matches that are normally affected by cheaters and spammers have been reduced to half this last month, thanks to anti-cheat efforts. Respawn has been working closely with EA's security and fraud team to crack down on cheaters, as well as with developers from EA DICE, EA Vancouver's FIFA team, and EA Capital Games. "While we can’t share details on what we’re doing so as to not give a head’s up to the cheat makers, what we can say is that we’re attacking this from every angle, from improvements to detecting cheaters, bolstering resources and tools, to improving processes and other sneaky things to combat sellers and cheaters," Respawn wrote in the Reddit post.
