One player, reddit user VaynMaanen, has created an impressive homage to Zelda: Link to the Past, recreating the original SNES map with high levels of detail and dedication. The recreation goes beyond just the map, with VaynMaanen going to the effort to recreate the landmarks and villagers as best you can with the tools in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Paths, flowers, trees, ponds, and even an ocarina all work in tandem to recreate the classic Zelda feel in a 3D space on the Switch. Seeing an island like this makes you wonder how a Zelda: Link to the Past remake would look on the Switch.
