OnePlus Nord N10 5G review: A disappointment at any price

This doesn't feel like a OnePlus phone

OnePlus is moving downmarket with its new Nord brand, following up on the smash-hit original with the new N10 5G. Unfortunately, this latest model doesn't live up to the original's name. While US pricing isn't official yet, there's no reason to buy one in Europe, and that would be true even if it weren't for all the launch bugs.

    Specs

Display 6.49" 90Hz 1080*2400 IPS LCD w/"hole punch" camera cutout
    Chipset Snapdragon 690
Storage 128GB UFS 2.1, microSD expandable
    RAM 6GB
    Headphone jack Yes
    Cameras Primary: 64MP f/1.79
    Ultra-wide: 8MP f.2.25 (119°)
    Macro: 2MP f/2.4
    Monochrome: 2MP f/2.4
    Front: 16MP f/2.05
Misc Rear-mounted capacitive fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers via earpiece
Connectivity 2x2 MIMO Wi-Fi (2.5&5GHz, up to ac), Bluetooth 5.1, 5G (NA details TBD), 4x4 MIMO LTE (Cat 18DL, Cat 13 UL)
    Battery 4,300mAh, Warp Charge 30T (30W)
Software OxygenOS 10.5, based on Android 10 (one promised version update to Android 11/OxygenOS 11, two years of security updates)
    Dimensions 163mm x 74.7mm x 8.95mm, 190g

    The Good

Screen It's big, seems to get bright enough, and it's 90Hz smooth — though not OLED.
