    Bly Manor Director Mike Flanagan Is Adapting Sci-Fi Horror Novel The Season Of Passage Dan Auty Mike Flanagan is set to direct an adaptation of Christopher Pike's sci-fi horror novel The Season of Passage. Flanagan is best known for the Netflix shows The Haunting of Hill House and Bly Manor, and the movie Doctor Sleep. Flanagan will write the screenplay with his brother James for Intrepid Pictures and Universal. The filmmaker confirmed the news on Twitter, staying that "this project has been a dream of mine since I was a teenager," adding that he used to "daydream the theatrical trailer for this movie back in the early 90s." The Russians had previously visited the Red Planet, but all contact was lost shortly after they landed, and the crew never returned.
