Someone asked if they wished the Scouring of the Shire was included in the movies, and Boyd said "yes." He added, perhaps jokingly (or maybe not?) that he and Monaghan will write out this scene and act it out on the new podcast, which is called Friendship Onion. Elaborating further on this, Boyd said he understands why this scene didn't make it into the movie. "I would have loved The Scouring of the Shire but totally understand why it's not there.
