He recently announced that he went to the set for the first time to prepare for the long-awaited sequel. Many people thought because Pratt was on set that it meant filming had begun on Guardians 3, but that is not the case. Writer-director James Gunn said Pratt went to the set for rehearsals and for camera tests. As for actual principal photography, this is still "a while off," Gunn said. Chris is on set and we're rehearsing and doing camera tests and stuff - so it's his "first day" like it was my "first day" many months ago - but actual shooting is a while off.
